WASHER PROBLEMS
LOUD/CONSISTENT NOISES
The most common reason we will come out to your home to fix a washer is because of the loud noises it is making. Our certified repairman will find the source of the noise, and replace or repair the parts at fault. Broken pump motors, damaged bearings, and worn belts are the usual reasons your washer is making noise.
WON’T TURN ON/AGITATE
When your washing machine does not run make sure it is getting electricity by checking the circuit breaker and seeing if it is plugged in. Broken door latches, faulty timers, and burned out thermal fuses are the usual reasons that the washer will not turn on. When it does not agitate, your washer will have a damaged drive belt, broken transmission, faulty coupler, or broken agitator cogs. Some of these we can repair and some will need replacement. We can so these repairs the same day that you call for help.
WON’T SPIN
When your washer does not spin the wax motor is not working, the door latch is faulty, or a motor coupling is broken. We can fix these problems on the spot and on the same day that you call us for help.
OVERFLOWS
When your washer overflows and after you have mopped up the floor, call us for same-day repairs. Problems with your washer’s water inlet valve, air dome tube, or water level pressure switch are the common reasons for overflows.
NO HOT/COLD WATER
When your washer does not have either hot or cold water there is a broken temperature control switch or the inlet hose is damaged or blocked. Call us to fix this problem the same day.
COMMON DRYER PROBLEMS
LOUD/CONSTANT NOISES
Loud noises, more often than not, are why we come out to check your dryer. These noises come from a worn belt, broken bearings, or a bad seal. Call us to fix these issues before they get worse and the washer stops altogether.
NO HEAT/WON’T DRY
Call us right away if your dryer does not heat up. You will have a non-functioning high limit thermostat, damaged cycling thermostat, or a broken heating element. Depending on the nature of the problem with any of these parts, they may cause your dryer to heat up excessively as well.
WON’T TURN ON/TUMBLE
When the dryer doesn’t turn on make sure the circuit breaker is not off and that the appliance is plugged in. If these are OK, we will find a problem with the cycling thermostat, high limit thermostat, or heating element.
WON’T TURN OFF
A too-easy solution when the dryer will not turn off is to just unplug it. Don’t get in the habit of doing this! You have a damaged timer or broken door switch. These are easy same-day repairs by our certified technicians.
TIMER WON’T ADVANCE
As your dryer goes through its cycle it needs the timer to advance correctly. When this does not happen there is a problem with the timer motor or with the cycling thermostat. We can quickly fix this problem the same day you ask for help.
